NDA (2) 2024 Written Result has been Declared on 20th September 2024. Institutional Answer Key has been Released through Various Coaching. The Examination was held on 1st September 2024. Application Withdraw has been started on 5th June 2024. The National Defence Academy Exam is conducted by the Union Service Public Commission (UPSC). This is conducted every year for willing candidates. The NDA (2) application forms can be submitted by 4th June 2024

This exam is at the national level and is conducted twice every year. The willing applicants can apply for the Navy, Military, and Indian Air Force through this exam. The candidates who qualify for this exam will be selected for interviews, medical and other rounds.

NDA (2) 2024 Application Form 

The application form is mandatory to be filled out by every candidate. All applicants must fill in the correct details in the application form. If any candidate does not fill out the application form, then they will not be allowed to take the exam. The information in the application form is essential. Carefully fill out the form; the candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria before completing the application form. The other details about the NDA (2) exam application form are below.

  • One candidate is allowed to fill out only one application form only. 
  • All applicants must upload the documents online, photographs, and signatures in the application form. 
  • Every instruction related to the application form is essential; thus, read them carefully. 
  • The Allahabad NDA 2024 application forms has been released on the website.
  • The start date to submit the application form for NDA session 2 of 2024 from 15th May 2024.
  • The last date to submit the application form for NDA session 2 of 2024 from 4th June 2024.
  • To avoid cancellation, candidates should not make any mistakes in the application form. 
  • Information like your name, date of birth, etc., is essential; you should be filled in with care and recheck them. 
  • Note down the registration number, user ID, and password. This information will be needed to log into the website. 
  • After completing the application form, you should take a printout. 

NDA (2) Exam 2024 Application Fee 

The application fee is the next step that applicants need to follow after the application form. All the candidates have to pay some amount as an application form. If they fail, they will not be allowed to take the exam. 

The application fee is set by the exam conducting authority only. Candidates who want to pay the application fee offline can deposit a pay-in slip at the counter. Candidates who won’t pay the fee online mode they can opt for many gateways. UPI, Credit card, Debit card, UPI payment, and other options can pay online fees. Please note that if the fee is paid once, it will not be refunded. 

  • Candidates from SC, ST, Female candidates, NCOs, JCOs, and ORs are exempted from paying the application fee. 
  • The remaining candidates must pay the application fee of INR Rs.100/-. 

NDA (2) 2024 Application Form Correction 

The NDA II 2024 exam application form will be released online on the official website. If a candidate wishes to correct their application form, they can do so. Application form correction will be announced. Applicants can make corrections on those days. Ensure you check the official website to avoid missing out on any information. 

NDA (2) Exam Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility criteria refer to the qualifications set by the exam conducting authority. All the applicants who will be appearing for the exam will have to follow the eligibility criteria. Candidates who are found not following the criterion will not be allowed to give the exam. 

Eligibility criteria contain all the needed information by a candidate. Go through these criteria before you fill out the application form. The NDA (2) exam eligibility criteria are given below. 

Nationality 

  • The applicant can be male or female, but they should be citizens of India. 
  • A candidate can be the subject of Nepal and a subject of Bhutan/ refugee of Tibetan who came to India before 1st January 1962 intending to settle permanently in India.
  • Applicants who have migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Zambia, Tanzania, Zaire, Ethiopia, Malawi, Uganda, or Vietnam to settle in India can also apply.
  • Foreign nationals (except Gorkhas) will be required to produce a certificate of eligibility issued by Govt. of India only. 

Age Limit

Unmarried male and female candidates born not earlier than 2nd January 2006 and not later than 1st January 2009 are eligible for this exam. 

Education Qualification 

  • For Air Force & Naval Wings (Cadet entry scheme): Applicants must have passed the 10+2 class examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • For Army Wing: 12th pass applicants will be eligible to apply.
  • Appearing: applicants in the 12th level are also eligible to apply for this exam. 

Gender and Marital status 

  • Both male and female candidates will be eligible for NDA 2024.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to marry until they complete their training period.

NDA (2) 2024 Exam Pattern 

The exam Pattern for the NDA session two exams will contain all the necessary information. Every preparing applicant should go through the exam pattern. Exam pattern covers all the information like exam duration, mode, marking scheme, etc. Go through this

  • Mode: this exam will be in offline pen and paper mode.
  • Duration: the applicants will get 5 hours to complete this exam. 
  • Question type: MCQs will be asked in this exam. 
  • No.sections: this exam consists of 2 sections- maths and general assessment section.
  • Language: this exam will be in English and Hindi language.
  • Negative marking: 33% of marks assigned to the questions paper will be deducted 
  • No candidates will be allowed to use a calculator or mathematical table during the exam.

NDA (2) 2024 Exam Syllabus

The syllabus is essential for every candidate appearing in the exam. Every candidate will have to prepare for the exam according to the syllabus. Do not leave any topic from the syllabus. The syllabus for the NDA session two exams for 2024 is given below. 

Algebra

  • Concept of set, operations on sets, Venn diagrams. De Morgan laws, Cartesian product, relation, equivalence relation.   Representation of real numbers on a line. Complex numbers—basic properties, modulus, argument, cube roots of unity. Binary system of numbers. Conversion of a number in decimal system to binary system and vice-versa. Arithmetic, Geometric and Harmonic progressions. Quadratic equations with real coefficients. Solution of linear inequations of two variables by graphs. Permutation and Combination. Binomial theorem and its applications. Logarithms and their applications. 

Matrics and Determinants: 

  • Types of matrices, operations on matrices. Determinant of a matrix, basic properties of determinants. Adjoint and inverse of a square matrix, Applications-Solution of a system of linear equations in two or three unknowns by Cramer’s rule and by Matrix Method. 

Trigonometry

  • Angles and their measures in degrees and radians. Trigonometric ratios. Trigonometric identities Sum and difference formulae. Multiple and Sub-multiple angles. Inverse trigonometric functions. Applications-Height and distance, properties of triangles. 

Analytical Geometry of two and three Dimensions: 

  • Rectangular Cartesian Coordinate system. Distance formula. Equation of a line in various forms. The angle between two lines. Distance of a point from a line. Equation of a circle in a standard and general form. Standard forms of parabola, ellipse and hyperbola. Eccentricity and axis of a conic. Point in a three-dimensional space, the distance between two points. Direction Cosines and direction ratios. Equation two points. Direction Cosines and direction ratios. Equation of a plane and a line in various forms. The angle between two lines and the angle between two planes. Equation of a sphere. 

Diffrential Calculus: 

  • Concept of a real-valued function–domain, range, and function graph. Composite functions, one-to-one, onto, and inverse functions. The notion of limit, Standard limits—examples. Continuity of functions—examples, algebraic operations on continuous functions. Derivative of function at a point, geometrical and physical interpretation of a derivative—applications. Derivatives of sum, product, and quotient of functions, a derivative of a function concerning another function, a derivative of a composite function. Second-order derivatives. Increasing and decreasing functions. Application of derivatives in problems of maxima and minima. 

Integral Calculus and Differential Equations: 

  • Integration as inverse of differentiation, integration by substitution and parts, standard integrals involving algebraic expressions, trigonometric, exponential, and hyperbolic functions. Evaluation of definite integrals—determination of areas of plane regions bounded by curves—applications. 
  • Definition of order and degree of a differential equation, formation of a differential equation by examples. General and particular solutions of differential equations, solutions of the first order, and first-degree differential equations of various types—examples. Application in problems of growth and decay. 

Vector Algebra: 

  • Vectors in two and three dimensions, magnitude, and direction of the vector. Unit and null vectors, the addition of vectors, scalar multiplication of a vector, scalar product, or dot product of two vectors. Vector product or cross product of two vectors. Applications—work done by a force, a moment of a force, and geometrical problems. 

Statistics and Probability: 

  • Statistics: Classification of data, Frequency distribution, cumulative frequency distribution—examples. Graphical representation—Histogram, Pie Chart, frequency polygon— examples. Measures of Central tendency—Mean, median, and mode. Variance and standard deviation—determination and comparison. Correlation and regression. 
  • Probability: Random experiment, outcomes, associated sample space, events, mutually exclusive and exhaustive events, impossible and specific events. Union and Intersection of Events. Complementary, elementary, and composite events. Definition of probability—classical and statistical—examples. Elementary theorems on probability—simple problems. Conditional probability, Bayes’ theorem—simple problems. Random variable as function on a sample space. Binomial distribution, examples of random experiments giving rise to Binominal distribution.

English

  • Grammar and usage, vocabulary, comprehension, and cohesion.

General Knowledge 

  • The question paper on General Knowledge will broadly cover the subjects: Physics, Chemistry, General Science, Social Studies, Geography, and Current Events. 
  • Physics: Physical Properties and States of Matter, Mass, Weight, Volume, Density and Specific Gravity, Principle of Archimedes, Pressure Barometer. The motion of objects, Velocity and Acceleration, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Force and Momentum, Parallelogram of Forces, Stability and Equilibrium of bodies, Gravitation, elementary ideas of work, Power and Energy. Effects of Heat Electrical Power, Primary and Secondary Cells, Use of X-Rays. General Principles in the working of the following  Simple Pendulum, Simple Pulleys, Syphon, Levers, Balloon, Pumps, Hydrometer, Pressure Cooker, Thermos Flask, Gramophone, Telegraphs, Telephone, Periscope, Telescope, Microscope, Mariner’s Compass, Lightening Conductors, Safety Fuses. 
  • Chemistry: Physical and Chemical changes. Elements, Mixtures and Compounds, Symbols, Formulae and simple Chemical Equations, Law of Chemical Combination (excluding problems). Properties of Air and Water.  Preparation and Properties of Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon dioxide, Oxidation, and Reduction. Acids, bases, and salts. Carbon—different forms. Fertilizers—Natural and Artificial. The material used in the preparation of substances like Soap. Glass, Ink, Paper, Cement, Paints, Safety Matches, and GunPowder.   • General Science: Difference between living and non-living. Basis of Life—Cells, Protoplasms, and Tissues. Growth and Reproduction in Plants and Animals.

  • History: A broad survey of Indian History, emphasising Culture and Civilisation. Freedom Movement in India. Elementary study of Indian Constitution and Administration. NDA (2) 2024 Exam Admit Card 

Candidates who would have filled out the application and paid the application fee can get access to the admit card. If candidates do not do these things, they will not get admit cards. The admit card for NDA session two will be released online on the official website. 

Admit card is an essential document. Applicants must take a printout of it after downloading it. Every appearing applicant needs to bring an admit card with them for the exam. If any candidate fails to bring the admit card, then they will not be allowed to take the exam. In case of any mistake in the admit card, the applicants must inform the authorities before the exam.

NDA (2) Exam 2024 Answer Key 

Different institutions will make the answer key for the NDA (2) exam available to the students. No answer key will be released on the official website. The answer key for NDA (2) will be available in various sets. With the answer key, the candidate can check their answers. They can predict their scores. 

NDA (2) Exam 2024 Result 

The NDA exam results will be released online on the website. All the candidates who appeared in the exam can use their details to get access to the results. The candidates whose names will be mentioned in the merit list will be qualified. And they will be allowed for further admission rounds. No result will be sent in offline mode to any candidates. 

NDA (2) Cut-Off marks 

Cut-off marks are the minimum marks candidates must score to qualify for the exam. Cut for NDA (2) will be released online on the website. It will be released separately for different wings. The first cut-off will be for the written exam and the interview round. If candidates do not score more than the cut-off marks, they will not be allowed for further rounds. 

NDA (2) 2024 Interview 

The interview round will be for the candidates qualifying for the exam. The candidates will be invited for an interview round if they have cleared the written exam. There will be two stages of interviews for every candidate.
