JEE Advanced Cut-Off 2025

JEE Advanced Result 2025 will be provided to the students on 9th June 2025. The JEE Advanced Cut-Off marks will be released after the declaration of the result and the cutoff marks are the minimum cut-off marks based on score minimum marks by candidates, their admission will provide admission to various undergraduate programs.

JEE Advanced 2025 Counselling will be started in 3rd week of June 2025. The cut-off marks will be declared through the authority every year and the applicants will get admission to IITs & ISM, Dhanbad based on their cut-off marks.

Factors Affecting JEE Advanced Cut-Off 2025

The cut-off marks will be decided based on some factors such as

• Total number of candidates who will qualify for JEE Main 2025
• Total number of candidates who apply for JEE Advanced 2025
• Total number of candidates appearing for JEE Advanced 2025
• Difficulty Level of Exam
• Previous year cut-off trends

Previous Year JEE Advanced Cut-Off

There are the minimum marks for both subject-wise and aggregate and applicants must have to score minimum qualifying marks and the minimum marks provided for the candidates.

• Maximum aggregate marks: 372 (186 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
• Maximum marks in Physics: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
• Maximum marks in Chemistry: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
• Maximum marks in Mathematics: 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)

JEE Advanced Cut-Off Ranks

For ranking, there are different marks from minimum qualifying marks. There will be separate opening & closing ranks to offer admission and the opening & closing marks are provided below.

Cut Off marks for the Top 20 Percentile 

• Based on marks scored by all the qualified candidates in their respective boards, there will be category-wise cut-off marks for the top 20 percentile will be done.
• The top 20 percentile cut-off for 2025 will be considered for the candidates who have qualified in the class 12th or its equivalent in 2025.
• Those applicants have scored qualified marks in the 12th examination in 2017 and they have appeared in any one of the subjects for improvement in 2025, then cut-off for the top 20 percentile will be considered for the year 2017.
• If the authority does not provide any details of the cut-off of the top 20 percentile, then, in this case, candidates have to produce a certificate from the respective Board saying that he/she falls in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates.
• If candidates fail to do this, then cut-off marks specified by the CBSE board will be considered.
