Latest Applications Open 2024:

The CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled for December 1, 2024, and will serve as the gateway for law aspirants seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs. Candidates should be aware of the government law colleges in India, including National Law Universities (NLUs), that accept CLAT 2025 scores. Additionally, some private colleges also recognize these scores, providing aspirants with various options for securing admission.

Candidates’ enrollment in the CLAT 2025 participating colleges will be determined by their CLAT results. The courses available at these colleges include BA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB, and LLM. Currently, there are 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) that offer admission based on CLAT scores.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) conducts the CLAT entrance exam, which is participated in by 24 NLUs and 50 private colleges. Some colleges also accept CLAT scorecards for direct admission. Based on previous trends, candidates typically need to secure 90+ marks to gain admission to top NLUs such as the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) in Bangalore, the National Law Institute University (NLIU) in Bhopal, and the National Law University (NLU) in Jodhpur.

Affiliate Colleges of CLAT 2025

These colleges have signed MOUs with the consortium and use CLAT 2025 scores for admissions. However, unlike the NLUs, affiliate colleges may also accept other entrance exam scores. For example, GITAM University uses CLAT scores but also conducts its entrance exam, GITAM GAT. Overall, there are 61 affiliates listed on the consortium’s website.

Other Private law colleges

Unlike the affiliate colleges that have signed an MOU, some colleges that haven’t signed any MOU may still use CLAT 2025 scores for admissions.
