Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Maharashtra has conducted the Maharashtra PG Admission Counseling to provide admission to the candidates in MD and MS courses at Maharashtra State Government/Corporation/ Government Aided/ Unaided Private & Minority Medical Colleges.

  • First of all, candidates should have to go on the official webpage of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test.
  • Applicants have to click on the link of counseling registration for PG medical admission and they have to read the complete instructions before filling an application form.
  • They should have to fill all the required details in the application form and submit it and pay the Non Refundable online prescribed fee of Rs 3000/- through payment gateway provided for it.
  • They should have to take the print out of receipt of online payment and verify the application form. Candidates have to use their login details such as Application Number and Password to download the print out of application form.
  • Through using the username and password, candidates have to upload their required documents in the application form.

Maharashtra NEET PG Admission Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form of counseling and admission to Maharashtra PG Medical Admission, applicants must have to check their eligibility criteria and the details mentioned below.

  • The applicants must belong from Indian Citizenship.
  • Those are Non-Resident Indians (NRI) who are eligible only for a maximum of 15% NRI Quota seats in the Unaided Private/Minority medical colleges. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible for any seat.
  • Candidates should be qualified in NEET PG Examination necessarily.
  • Qualified candidates in M.B.B.S. final examination from the colleges located in Maharashtra and completed 1-year internship training by March 31, 2023.
  • Those candidates belong to the general category must secure a minimum of marks at 50th percentile while the candidates belonging to the reserved category must secure a minimum of marks at the 40th percentile in NEET PG will be able for selection.
  • Those belong to ‘Creamy Layer’ among the categories (VJ) DT -A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC, SEBC, and EWS must note that the provision of the reservation is not applicable for them.
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are not eligible for any other seat except NRI quota seats in unaided private and Private Minority medical colleges, subject to fulfillment of NRI status and other relevant eligibility criteria.
  • Non-Resident Indians (NRI) are eligible only for a maximum of 15% NRI Quota seats in the Unaided Private/Minority medical colleges. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible for any seat under Competent Authority, State CET Cell.

The candidate who has passed MBBS examination from foreign University are not eligible for NEET-PG 2023 admission process under Competent Authority, State CET Cell.

To be eligible for Selection:-

To be eligible for selection to Medical Postgraduate Courses a candidate belonging to General Category and EWS category must secure minimum of marks at 50th percentile and candidate belonging to constitutional reservation category and constitutional reservation category with the person with disability (PWD) claim must secure minimum of marks at 40th percentile in NEET-PG 2023.

A person with a disability (PWD) from the general category and EWS category must secure a minimum of marks at the 45th percentile in NEET PG 2023.

A candidate who fails to obtain the minimum eligibility percentile /marks as prescribed in regulations shall not be admitted to any Postgraduate courses in the said the academic year 2023-2021.

However, the eligibility criteria decided by MCI / Government of India if revised will be applicable from time to time.

Maharashtra NEET PG Admission Merit List 2023

On the official website of the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test, the Maharashtra PG Medical Admission Merit List will release through authority. As per the inter-se-merit from the list of NEET PG, the institute allows seats to the candidates. On the basis of marks scored in NEET-PG, the merit list will be prepared and the applicants will be selected for admission as per merit and the preference submitted by the candidates.
