The Institute of Actuaries of India is providing an online entrance test for candidates and this entrance test is popularly known as ACET (Actuarial Common Entrance Test). The candidates have to fill out the application form of ACET to take the examination and after the result; candidates will get admission to the IAI based on the result. In the exam of ACET, there are two papers as Mathematics and Statistics.

Every year many of the candidates may appear for the examination of ACET to get admission in the IAI. Based on the result, admission will provide to the candidates.

ACET 2024 Exam Pattern

The ACET examination is conducted with two papers in the exam for the candidates and the papers will be Mathematics and Statistics.

There will be a total of 55 multiple-choice objective-type questions in the exam. The 25 questions carry one mark each and the next 25 questions carry 2 marks each.

The last 5 questions carry 5 marks each.  Candidates will be allotted 2 hours to answer all questions. The maximum mark allotted for the exam are 100. Half marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

The New Structure of ACET Examinations

• From May 2016 ACET is a 3 hours exam conducted online. It has 70 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question.
• The question paper pattern and distributions of questions as under

3. 45 questions – 1 mark each
   b. 20 questions – 2 marks each
   c. 05 questions – 3 marks each
   3. The syllabus includes the following

Section-I Mathematics, Statistics and Data Interpretation having 55% of weightage and

Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage

• The syllabus was covering Mathematics and Statistics of the 10+2 Level.

The Old Structure of ACET

• The exam of ACET was a 2-hour, 100-mark online exam. ACET exam had 55 multiple choice questions with a total of 100 marks with one correct answer for each question.
• The question paper pattern and distributions of questions as under:

1. 25 questions – 1 mark each
   b. 25 questions – 2 marks each
   c. 05 questions – 5 marks each

• The syllabus covered Mathematics and Statistics of the 10+2 Level.
