The ACET is popularly known as the Actuarial Common Entrance Test, and it is managed by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). Every year many of candidates may appear for the examination of ACET to get admission to the IAI. There are various courses and programs available for candidates to complete their education. ACET 2024 Exam Passing Criteria
The candidates need to check their eligibility before filling out the Application Form, and they should also have to secure qualified marks in the examination of 10+2 from the recognized university.
There are some passing marks announced through the institute to provide admission to the candidates, and by the passing marks, candidates will get admission to the IAI.
The IAI is declaring the ACET result of the candidates in which the pass and fail details will be shown to the candidates.

Sections in papers
There are two sections in the papers for the candidates, and the details are mentioned below
Sec 1 – Maths, statistics data interpretation for 55 marks
Sec 2 – English and logical reason for 45 marks.
The exam will have multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question. The exam will be conducted online at a pre-selected test centre at a specified time.
The exam will be a three-hour, 100-mark online exam that will have 70 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question.
The questions for Section-I i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Interpretation will contain 55% of the weightage, and Section-II i.e. English and Logical Reasoning will contain 45% of the weightage. The total distribution of questions would be:
1. 45 questions – 1 mark each
2. 20 questions – 2 marks each
3. 05 questions – 3 marks each
ACET 2024 Exam Pattern
The Exam Pattern is most useful for candidates to know the idea about the question paper structure of ACET. There is the exam pattern has mentioned below for candidates.
ACET is a 3-hour, 100-mark online exam that has 70 multiple-choice questions with one correct answer for each question. No, the Question paper will not have any sectional cut-offs. The Pass mark for the ACET Examination is 50%.
The distribution of questions will be
- 45 questions – 1 mark each
- 20 questions – 2 marks each
- 05 questions – 3 marks each
After successful registration, students will be able to download the sample question paper for the examination. However, the names of the reference books will be provided to the students.

- Section-I Mathematics, Statistics, and Data Interpretation has 55% of weightage
- Section-II English and Logical Reasoning having 45% of weightage
ACET will now be conducted in 24 exam centres in India.
