PU M.Ed 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For Admission to M.Ed. (Regular):

Degree in Bachelor of Education/equivalent degree with 50% marks from an accredited University by AIU. OR B.A.B.Ed., B.Sc. B.Ed. OR B.El.Ed. OR D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree with 50% marks in each one. (A 5% concession is admissible in eligibility marks to SC/ST/BC/PwD candidates).

For Admission to M.Ed. Special Education (MR): 

• A candidate who has success has gone through a B.Ed.Spl.Ed. with minimum 50% marks in the various disability areas by an accredited university or the other degree considered equivalent to B.E.Spl.Ed. from an affiliating university and/ or teaching department below any University that is recognized in U.G.C. with RCI registration.
  A contender who has with success circulated the B.Ed. General course and has completed a diploma in Education special education in numerous disability areas recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India with a minimum of 50 % marks in each course. A student with B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. B.Ed.Spl. Ed. (4 years Integrated). The candidate has to have applicable RCI registration.
• In addition to the above-given fitness M.Ed. (through Correspondence) the course is only for in-service teachers, with two years of paid work experience, in a college recognized by a Board of School Education established by law, or in a College affiliated to or recognized by a university (part-time involvement shall also be counted towards teaching experience if the coaching was done as paid teaching) and are working at the while of admission i.e. in-service at the time of admission.
• The applicants who are emerging/ seemed in the B.Ed. examination of any recognized University is also eligible temporarily to take the M.Ed. Entrance Test performed by the Panjab University.

PU M.Ed 2024 Exam Pattern

• PU M.Ed Entrance Test will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration and shall comprise 75 questions of one mark each. The test must be objective type. Each question should have four choices labelled as A, B, C, and D. The candidate shall have to choose one best response and a darker bubble bearing it on the OMR answer sheet.
• Note 1: The exam will be in English Language Only.
• Note 2: There should not be a Negative Marking to the amount of a 25% mark deduction for every incorrect answer.
• The final merit for the receptions is calculated by giving 50% weightage to the entrance test and 50% weightage to the qualifying examination. In addition to other permissible weight-ages such as NCC, NSS, Cultural work, Youth Welfare, and weight-age of passing the last examination from Panjab University following the University rules wherever applicable will be added.
