TANUVAS 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Authority of University will accept the application form who are eligible to apply for the TANUVAS 2025 entrance exam. Before applying candidates must look at full TANUVAS 2025 eligibility criteria containing Nationality, Domicile, Age Limit, and Qualifying exam, etc.

Educational Qualifications:

• One must have completed the 8th  standard, 9th standard from a recognized primary school.
• SSC exam and HSC exam in the proper format of 10+2 should be completed by the applicant from a recognized board or university.

Qualifying Marks:

• Applicants who belong to a reserved category should score more than passing marks that is 35% marks in the qualifying exam.
• In the case of general category applicants, more than 55% of marks should be secured by the applicants in the qualifying exam.

Age Criteria:

• In order to appear for the admission procedure, the minimum age limit of the applicant should be more than 17 years at the time of admission.
• However, the upper age limit for general category applicants is 21 years at the time of admission.
• For reserved category applicants, no upper age limit is decided by the official authorities.

Domicile:

• Applicants should reside in Tamil Nadu state in order to appear for the admission.

Eligibility Criteria for Various Courses

• For BVSc. & AH (5-year)
  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 with PCB with a minimum of 60% marks (reserved category candidates require to mere pass the exam) / 60% marks in aggregate of Biology and vocational subjects (Agricultural practices, Dairy or Poultry).
• For B.Tech in Poultry Science/ Dairy Technology/ Food Technology
  • The candidate should have passed 10+2 with PCMB with a minimum of 60% marks. Reserved category candidates require to mere pass the 10+2 exam.
• For M.V.Sc.
  • Those who hold B.V.Sc. Or B.V.Sc. & Animal Husbandry degree from any college recognized by the Veterinary Council of India is eligible.
• For M.Tech in Food Technology
  • The candidates who have done B.Tech. in Food Processing Technology, Food Engineering, Dairy Technology or equivalent course with a minimum of 55% marks can apply.
• M.Sc.in Bioinformatics
  • The applicants should hold a BVS / B.V.Sc and AH / MBBS / BDS degree or should have done B.Sc. in Agriculture, Life Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology or Pharmacology with at least 50% marks.
• M.Sc. in Biotechnology
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Gene Technology / Animal Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Environmental Sciences / Genetics is required.
• PG Diploma Programs
  • Those who have done graduation in the relevant stream are eligible.
• Ph.D. Admission 
  • Those who have done Masters in the relevant stream with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible.
