The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, GATE 2025 Registration Last Date has been Extended till 11th October 2024 with late fee. IIT Roorkee will be conducting GATE 2025 for admission into M. Tech /PhD programs. Authorities have announced GATE 2025 Exam Dates. Prospective applicants aiming for admission to the M.Tech program at any engineering institution in India can complete their registration via the official website of the exam conducting authority. GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering) is a national-level engineering entrance examination for Post Graduate Engineering and Technology Courses. GATE 2025 is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and Seven Indian Institutes of Technology ( Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, and Roorkee ) on behalf of the National Coordination Board. IIT Roorkee raised the GATE application fee for the 2025 cycle. As per the updated fee structure, candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories and female candidates must pay a registration fee of INR 900/-. Conversely, candidates falling under the General and other categories must pay a registration fee of INR 1800/-.

The Application Process for GATE 2025 commenced on 28th August 2024. Candidates are required to register online, as applications are not available in any other format. Each student can apply for one or a maximum of two subject papers. It’s important to note that even if a candidate is applying for two papers, only one application form should be filled out. Submitting multiple applications will result in rejection without a refund of the fee.

The deadline to register without incurring a late fee is 3rd October 2024. However, applications can be submitted with a late fee until 11th October 2024. If a candidate submits more than one application for the same paper, they can only appear for one session. During the registration process, candidates must ensure that they provide accurate details and upload valid certificates. After submitting their applications online, candidates are not required to send any hard copies to the authority or any zonal office.

How to Fill out the GATE Application Form 2025?

Step-1: Register on the GOAPS Website

• Accessing the Registration Platform: To initiate the registration process, candidates are directed to visit the website http://appsgate.iisc.ernet.in. Alternatively, they can access the registration platform through the official websites of the respective zonal GATE offices or the organizing institute for GATE 2025.
• Securing Access with Personal Credentials: Candidates need to recognize that accessing the GOAPS interface for GATE 2025 requires the creation of a password by the candidates themselves. Therefore, candidates are advised to securely maintain their password information and refrain from sharing it with others.
• Registration Procedure: Candidates are prompted to register for the exam by providing essential information such as a valid email address, and mobile number, and establishing a GOAPS password. All future communications related to GATE will be directed to the email address provided during registration. It’s important to note that each candidate is allowed to register with only one email address. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to provide their mobile numbers to facilitate communication via SMS.
• Selection of Password: During the registration process through GOAPS, candidates are required to select a password. This password, along with the GOAPS Enrollment ID, will be necessary for candidates to log in to GOAPS in the future. It’s strongly recommended that candidates choose a password that is not easily guessable, avoiding common strings such as their name, date of birth, or simple combinations like “12345” or “abcd.”
• Receipt of Enrollment ID: Upon successful registration for GATE 2025, candidates will receive an email containing their GOAPS Enrollment ID. • Here, candidates need to select their preferred bank or mode of payment.

• Aspirants can then proceed to make the payment through net banking, debit card, or e-challan.
• During the payment process, candidates will be presented with the fee amount and any applicable bank charges. They must confirm that the payment is intended for GATE 2025.
• Upon successful payment, candidates will be redirected back to the GATE online application website.
• In the event of any payment-related issues, such as internet or power failures, candidates should log back into GOAPS to check the payment status. Alternatively, they can verify the status with their bank.
• If the fee amount is deducted from the candidate’s bank account but GOAPS does not acknowledge the payment, the money will be refunded within seven working days.
• In such cases, candidates can proceed to initiate a fresh payment through GOAPS without waiting for the refund.
• Upon successful payment, candidates will receive a unique “Fee Payment Number,” which must be saved for future reference during the GATE 2025 application process.

• Go to the GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System) page.
• Click on the option labelled ‘Forgot GATE 2025 Enrolment ID or Registration ID.’
• If you remember your Email Address but have forgotten the Enrollment ID and Registration ID, click on ‘Request for an OTP’ to receive a Time Password (OTP).
• Once you’ve received the OTP, click on “Already have an OTP?” to reset the password.
• Follow the instructions provided to reset your Enrollment ID or Registration ID.
