The selection process for MICAT 2025 will begin following the announcement of the GE & PI shortlist for the PGDM-C/PGDM program. MICA Ahmedabad will release the GE & PI shortlist in February 2025, after the release of the MICAT-II scorecard, also scheduled for February 2025. The MICAT-I scorecard will be available in 3rd week of December 2024. Candidates can verify their GE & PI shortlist status by logging into the official MICA website (mica.ac.in) using their Login ID and Password.

MICA will hold the GE & PI rounds starting in March 2025, across five cities: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, and Kolkata. In addition to the MICAT scores, MICA also considers CAT/XAT/GMAT scores as part of the selection process for its PGDM and PGDM-C programs.

It’s important to note that the selection process for MICA does not involve IIMs, XLRI, or GMAC, as they are not part of the evaluation or decision-making for admissions. The MICAT selection process consists of three stages that candidates must complete to gain admission to MICA, Ahmedabad:

Step 1: CAT/ XAT/GMAT Score

To qualify for MICAT, candidates must have appeared for one of the following exams: CAT, XAT, or GMAT. This is a prerequisite for participating in the MICAT examination.

Step II: MICAT Examination

The next stage for candidates to be shortlisted for admission rounds is taking the MICAT. In this exam, candidates are assessed through three sections: Section 1 – Psychometric Test (P), Section 2 – Verbal Ability (VA), Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation (QADI), General Awareness (GA), Divergent and Convergent Thinking (DCT), and Section 3 – Descriptive Test (DT).

Step III: Group Exercise and Personal Interview

Candidates who are shortlisted based on their CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT scores are then invited to participate in the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI. For MICAT 2025, candidates need to score at least 3.5 in the Group Exercise and 4 or more in the Personal Interview to proceed further in the selection process.

  • Psychometric Test: Candidates must first qualify for the Psychometric test.

  • Descriptive Test Evaluation: Candidates who qualify for the above steps will have their Descriptive Test scores evaluated.
  • Shortlisting for GE & PI: Candidates who meet the criteria in all these steps will be shortlisted for the GE and PI rounds, which will be conducted in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai.

The final shortlist for GE & PI is based on a combined score of 50% CAT/XAT/GMAT and 50% MICAT results.
