Sikkim TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria, Qualification, Age – Check Here Category Wise Eligibility

The Sikkim Human Resource Development Department is the conducting authority of the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) and this test is managed to provide teacher job opportunities to the candidates as Primary Teachers for Classes I to V and for Elementary (Graduate) Teachers for Classes VI to VIII in the state. 

Candidates will be able to get this opportunity as per their marks obtained in the Sikkim TET Examination and they can start their job work in the various schools of Sikkim State after selection.

Through this content, candidates will get detailed information on the Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET), including Sikkim TET Eligibility.

Sikkim TET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Only those with the Eligibility Criteria will be eligible to apply in the Sikkim TET Examination. The candidates must check their Eligibility Criteria before applying. The Eligibility Criteria are

i. Minimum Essential qualification for TET for Primary Teacher (classes I to V):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

ii. Minimum Essential qualification for TET for Graduate Teacher (for classes VI to VIII):

B.A./B.Sc./ with 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State)and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.).

OR

B.A./B.Sc./ with 50 % marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed or appearing in the final year 2 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks, for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State)and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

(final year appearing candidate means those candidates who finished the term of the course and awaiting Final Exams or result and not those who just started /studying the final year or in the mid-term of the course)

Note:

• A person intending to appear in both categories (Primary and Graduate) will have to apply, sit in both papers separately, and pay the fee for both tests.
• For the purpose of this notification, a Diploma/Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in case of a Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B. Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.

Sikkim TET 2025 Application Form

The Sikkim TET Application Form will be available on the official website, and those applicants who are interested and eligible candidates can apply in the Sikkim TET examination by filling out the Application Form online mode by visiting the official website of the Sikkim Human Resource Development Department.

Candidates must fill in all the correct and complete details in the Application Form. At the time of the Application Form, candidates should have paid the application fee.
