Bihar TET is completely known as the Bihar Teacher Eligibility Test and the conducting body of BSEB STET is Bihar School Education Board (BSEB).

The Bihar TET is the state level eligibility test conducted to shortlist the candidates for the position of teachers in Govt. and Private Run schools. Every year Department of School Education Bihar issues the notification to recruit eligible candidates through Bihar TET.

Bihar TET BSEB STET 2023 Eligibility

Candidates must have to check their Eligibility Criteria before filling the Application Form and the educational qualification is different for aspirants of paper 1 and paper 2. Primary Stage – Class I -V

Candidates should have cleared of appearing for the last year of r two-year Diploma in Elementary Education and HSC with at least 50% marks.

OR

HSC qualified and passed or appearing in the 2-year course of diploma elementary education by whatever name known), with at least 45% marks in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

HSC/10+2 and qualified or appearing in the final year of four years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). with at least 50% marks

OR

HSC (or its equivalent) and passed or attending in last year of their two-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) with at least 50% marks And Qualified in CTET or BETET 2023.

Elementary Stage – Classes VI to VIII

B.A./B.Sc degree holder and passed or appearing for last year of their two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Graduate with minimum 50% marks and qualified or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduate with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in one year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks also passed or appearing in last year of four years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduate with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Age Limit

As stated in Bihar TET Eligibility Criteria 2023, candidates interested to apply for Bihar TET BSEB STET 2023 should have attained the minimum age of 18 years for paper 1 and 21 years for paper 2. The upper age limit as per Bihar TET 2023 Eligibility Criteria is as given in the table below.
