AP LAWCET is popularly known as the Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test and the conducting authority of AP LAWCET is Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur. AP LAWCET Eligibility

All of the aspiring candidates must have to check their eligibility criteria before applying in the examination of AP LAWCET and the eligibility criteria may include the minimum educational qualifications and age limit required for pursuing the 3-year LLB and 5-year integrated BA/ B.Com LLB programs.

Nationality

• Candidates belonging to the state of Andhra Pradesh.
• Candidates whose parents have studied in Andhra Pradesh or any one parent is a domicile of AP.

Educational Qualification for LLB (3 years)

• A Bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years duration from any discipline
• A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam (40% for SC/ST candidates)
• final year candidates are also eligible to apply for APLAWCET

Educational Qualification for LLB (5 years)

• Intermediate graduates or equivalent exams from any recognized board.
• a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam (40% for SC/ST candidates)
• Final-year candidates are also eligible to apply for the law examination.

Eligibility AP LAWCET 2024 & AP PGLCET 2024

For 3-year LL.B Course: The Candidates for 3 years, LL.B. should have passed any Graduate Degree (10+2+3 pattern) of a recognized University with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the Universities concerned. If any candidate secured less than 45% in graduation he should have passed any additional graduate or postgraduate degree with 45% aggregate marks.

For 5-Year LL.B. Course: The Candidates for 5 years, LL.B. should have passed a two-year Intermediate Examination (10+2 pattern) with 45% of aggregate marks or any other examination recognized as equivalent by the University concerned or the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P.

Note: There is a relaxation of 5% of marks in the above qualifying examinations for 3 years/ 5 year Law courses in favor of the candidates belonging to SC / ST and a relaxation of 3% of marks for candidates belonging to other backward classes.

2 Year LL.M. Course: Candidates holding LL.B./B.L. degrees on the date of application and candidates who have appeared/appeared for the LL.B./B.L. Final year examination are also eligible. A candidate appearing for LLB/BL degree examinations may take the AP PGLCET in anticipation of results. However, the candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination with 50% marks in aggregate (for OC/BC) and 45% marks in aggregate (for SC/ST) at the time of counselling.

Note 1) Mere appearance in AP LAWCET / AP PGLCET will not give any right to admission. The candidate shall satisfy all the eligibility criteria and should satisfy rules governing admission as are applicable at the time of admission.

2.) The applicants who have obtained 10+2 or graduation/post-graduation through the Single Sitting system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission into the law courses.

3) Age on admission into law courses is subject to the rule position in vogue at the time of Admission.

4) Nationality and Domicile: The candidate should be an Indian National and should satisfy Local / non-local Status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 and the amendments made thereto from time to time.

APLAWCET Age Limit

• There is no prescribed upper age limit for AP LAWCET 2024.
• The minimum age to apply for the exam is 21 years.
