IIST Admission 2024 Fees (Available) – Check All Fees Here

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) is the famous Institute of India, and the main headquarters of IIST is in Kerala. The branches of the IIST are also available in various states for candidates, and those applicants who want to appear to get admission to the IIST can apply online.

The Government of India has recognized this institution for candidates to provide admission in IIST to complete their various courses such as technical, engineering, space, etc. The postgraduate and undergraduate courses are available for candidates.

IIST 2024 Fee structure

provides financial assistance funded by the Department of Space (DoS, Government of India) for students admitted to UG (B.Tech and dual degree) programs. The assistance ship (per semester basis) covers the expenses viz. Tuition fees, student amenity fees, hostel and dining charges, Establishment charges, and medical expenses are below.

Student Semester Fee for UG Students

Note:-

• Fee Applicable to all Full-Time Resident Scholar and Other Ph.D. Students during their residency period.
• A fee is applicable during their non-residency period.
• For SC/ST/PD, the Tuition/Statutory Semester Fee has been exempted.
• Students of PhD programs can purchase food coupons for Canteen Services.

The candidates must also pay the Book Allowance fee to purchase the book from the Institute, and the book allowance fee is Rs.3000 per semester.

First Semester

Those candidates who have joined the undergraduate program; have to pay the fee and expenses borne by institutes for the first semester. At admission, the candidates do not have to pay a fee.

Second Semester

Those candidates will score the category-wise minimum prescribed Grade Point Average (GPA) in the previous semester, and only they will get complete assistance ship from the Institute. The category-wise prescribed is given below.

For General and OBC Category 

• From the second semester onwards, the full assistantship will be continued for the current semester only for those who secure a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 7.5 (on a scale of 10) in the previous semester.
• The GENERAL and OBC category students who scored less than 7.5 GPA in the previous semester have to remit to the Institute all the above pre-notified fees (Rs. 48400/-) for the current semester.

For SC/ST and PD Category

• From the second semester onwards, the full assistantship will be continued for the current semester only if they secure a minimum GPA of 6.5 (on a scale of 10) in the previous semester.
• The SC/ST and PD category students who secure a GPA of 5.5 and above but less than 6.5 (on a scale of 10) in the previous semester have to remit Rs. 28400/- (i.e. all the above pre-notified fees except the Tuition fee) for the current semester.
• The SC/ST and PD category students who secure a GPA of less than 5.5 (on a scale of 10) in the previous semester must remit the entire pre-notified fees(Rs.48400/-) for the current semester.
